At our Mansfield, OH location we make adjustments. It is important to know the difference between manipulation and adjustments.
We live in a time were I think we have to be conscience of the decisions we make. Answering the initial question and title of the article to chiropractic “no” we do not have to be manipulated. No one wants to be manipulated. Neither with words or force. Manipulation has a negative connotation. No one wants to be manipulated with words or by force, right? I repeat, no one. With chiropractic the idea is to adjust with the body. To adjust where the body needs to be in proper alignment. And to allow the body heal in a natural way. Chiropractic is not about the spinal bones but what the spinal bones are protecting.
There are many different ways to adjust. By hand only. With an instrument. Or with a drop table using both hand and instrument. Yes, chiropractic is confusing but the science and reason is true. The main idea is for the nerve flow to be free from interference from the brain to the end organ where the nerve ends.
With chiropractic it is more of an art form. I say this because very rarely will you find one chiropractor that will adjust the very same way as another chiropractor. Because our art form in how we, as chiropractors, interpret or express chiropractic is different. The main idea that we gather around is the same being that it is to remove the nerve interference. We adjust with the body.
